Shaelin Lekatz
Shaelin holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities campus), and is currently working toward her master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services through Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (Twin Cities campus). She is approaching her 4th year in direct behavioral health support to individuals ranging from 5 to 60+ years old and spent most of this time working with teenage populations. As a result of both her work experience and education, Shaelin brings a sense of curiosity and nonjudgment to each interaction, implements mindful intention in her approach with clients, and especially enjoys connecting with young people. After receiving her graduate degree, Shaelin intends to work as an individual counselor within the Twin Cities metro and will use her applied knowledge of psychometry to inform client treatment. Shaelin holds the ambition to additionally pursue a “PsyD” so that she can work at a doctoral level, in addition to providing patient counseling. In her free time, Shaelin enjoys light reading, spending time with family and friends, being outside, and regular walks with her sister’s dog. She is an appreciator of the many arts and values the small things in life like fresh coffee.
